Fat-transfer augmentation

Best if you want a small, natural increase without implants.

Is this you?

  • You have some spare fat on the tummy, flanks or thighs
  • You want to refine cleavage or even out a small size difference

What it is

Fat is gently removed by liposuction from areas like the tummy or thighs, purified, then injected into the breasts to improve shape and volume. Some fat is reabsorbed at first; the fat that survives stays.

Recovery

  1. Week 1Desk work
  2. Weeks 2–3Swelling settles
  3. Week 6Full exercise
  4. 3–6 monthsFinal result
CanAdd a modest, natural-looking increase and refine shape, with no scar on the breast
Can'tGive a large size change, or keep all of the fat that is transferred

Talk to us first if you are very slim, as there may not be enough fat to transfer.

Breast lift

Best if your breasts have dropped or look empty after breastfeeding.

Is this you?

  • Breasts sit lower, nipple pointing down
  • They look stretched or empty after breastfeeding
  • Areolas have become larger

FAQ

Breast questions, answered

Modern silicone implants are widely used and well studied. Like any surgery there are risks, and Dr. Gupta explains them honestly at your consultation, along with the implant type and placement that suit you.

Most women return to work and light activities within about a week after augmentation or a lift, and 1–2 weeks after a reduction. Strenuous exercise waits for 4–6 weeks.

Many women can breastfeed after breast augmentation. A lift or reduction can affect it, so tell us if you plan to breastfeed in future and we'll choose the technique accordingly.

Yes, but they are kept small and placed in discreet areas, such as under the breast fold or around the areola. Scars are usually red at first and fade with time and proper care.

Results are long-lasting, though ageing, pregnancy and weight changes can affect them. Implants are not lifetime devices and may need replacing in the future.

Implants give a bigger, more predictable change in size. Fat transfer gives a small, natural increase without implants, but needs some spare fat elsewhere on your body.
